Make a "sound
book" for Mr. M. Take 4 to 8 sheets of paper, glue or staple them
together, and have you child cut out pictures of things that begin
with "M" from magazines and newspapers. Help your child glue these
pictures into the booklet. Them have your child write the upper case
and lower case "M" on each page. Review the booklet with your child
when it is finished, sounding out the words represented by the
pictures as you go through it. |

On your next trip
to the market, let your child help you find items on your shopping
list that begin with Mr. M's sound. Also, help your child spot the
letter "M" on various boxes, cans, and packages around the grocery
store. |
